I think the subjects interrupt the pattern of the stones, thus focusing our attention on them. I also tried to place them in the intersections of the rule of thirds.

The simplicity of the background keeps the subject our focus. I took two shots previous to this one and thought "blah" then I tilted my camera about 45 degrees. I think the result is much more pleasing to look at.

I employed framing and rule of thirds for this image.
Wahoo!
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun! Great use of texture and pattern on your first shot! I love there is the use of simplicity as well. Good clean image!
LOVE THE SECOND SHOT! It is so abstract, and compelling. I also love your lens tilt! Great job! And the clean background indeed draws your attention in to the subject. What is the subject btw? A sculpture?
Final shot: FAbulous! You have great color, great use of natural light, great catch lights in your subjects eye, great rule of thirds, great framing, nice color white on his shirt, helping him to totally stand out from the green.
LOVELY LOVELY!
Hi JoDean, I really like the composition of your second shot - so interesting! And your kids are great too. Talk with you next week. :)
ReplyDeleteThe second shot is my favorite!
